Mandisa is one bride who knew very well what she wanted and how she wanted things to be done for her big day.

This translated in the way she and Skhumbuzo had the wedding preparations on lockdown, even though she didn’t attend some of the viewings of the important elements before the wedding.

The couple met in 2012 when Mandisa was hitching a lift to town and while the next six years came with a few challenges, the couple has stayed together and it came as no surprise that the cake, décor and groom’s suit were at the top of the priority list.

First on their wish list was the groom’s suit and let’s just say, he was more than pleased with what the dressmaker had put together.

Cake tasting was the next item on the list. Their 5-tier fruit cake was exactly what they had envisioned. Skhumbuzo said it tasted as good as it looked.

The couple got a wonderful surprise when they visited the venue to see what the décor designer had come up with. The décor designer had personalized their initials on the champagne bottles on each table, much to their delight! A quick adjustment to the centre pieces on the bridesmaids table made Mandisa a happy bride.

With that, the couple ticked all the items on their priority list and had a wonderful, perfect wedding.
