Fresh from releasing her critically acclaimed sophomore album titled ‘You Make My Heart Go’, Maleh is bringing her breathy, soulful vocals to the Idols stage, when the eight boys who make up our season 11 Top 16 sing for public vote for the very first time.

Maleh, whose tone and memorable scat has been likened to Amel Larrieux of Groove Theory fame and even jazz great Ella Fitzgerald, began her music journey in the mountain kingdom of Lesotho, where she was born and raised. Following a successful turn as a member of a group called Kaya, she packed her bags and headed to Johannesburg to pursue her studies.

The elusive chanteuse, who has successfully managed to keep her personal life private, despite her meteoric rise to fame, was introduced to Mzansi audiences by way of collaborations with industry heavyweights including Dj Qness, Dj Ganyani and Dj Kent.

After paying her dues, Maleh finally recorded her debut album titled ‘Step Child’ in 2011, which spawned hits including "Under My Skin" and "Chimsoro" . Her big gamble paid off and she won a Metro FM Best Newcomer Award for her efforts, as well as the Best African Adult Album SAMA. After a long hiatus, Maleh returned armed with a goodie. Her sultry 2014 offering, ‘You Make My Heart Go’. This Sunday, Maleh sings her heart out for Mzansi - and guess what? You’re invited!
