The week eight live eviction show, where every housemate was on the chopping block, was absolute fireworks. In a jaw-dropping twist on Monday, Big Brother threw the usual diary room nomination routine out the window and put everyone into the eviction mix, with the exception of Head of House Mshini.
But before the chaos erupted, Robot Boii, Soweto's Finest, and Tom London's 'Amawele' performance set the stage ablaze with an electrifying performance, giving us a taste of the wild, unpredictable night that was about to unfold.
Evicted housemates:
Umlilo season went into overdrive as Mandy Hagan, Melino, Philile, and Tyrone became the latest housemates to get the axe, narrowing the field to the top 10. Now, it's game on as the remaining housemates battle it out for that juicy top prize. From here on, it's pure survival of the fittest.
Watch their journeys:
What did they say on stage with Smash Afrika?
The first housemate to be evicted for the night, Mandy Hagan, described Biggie’s house as restful, fun, and incredibly stressful. She shared that leaving her six-month-old baby behind was totally worth it, adding, “From here on, we are going up.”
Philile, who was buzzing with excitement to meet Smash Afrika for the first time, shared that her plan is to head back to Durban to visit her family since she missed them. However, she also mentioned that she plans to come back to the City of Gold with hopes to find an agency in efforts to pursue modelling.
Tyrone revealed that his strategy in the house was to fly under the radar until the very end, but Biggie’s decision to nominate the entire house completely shattered that plan.
Melino, full of energy, was faced with two choices for the R250 000 envelope in his possession: either tear it up or return it. In the end, he chose to put the red envelope back into the pot.
How did Biggie shake tables?
With four housemates shown the door, the house was left shaken to its core. After the eviction of three housemates, the remaining housemates were caught off guard when Smash crossed over to the other side of the house to evict a fourth housemate.
Who has left the house before them?
Before them, Mata and Muzi-TheMbuzi were the last to be booted out last Sunday, joining eight other housemates whose journeys had already come to an end in the house.
How many housemates remain?
What began with 24 housemates all vying for the big prize has now boiled down to the final 10, with their fate resting in the hands of South Ahh. After the live show wrapped up, the housemates gathered for a massive hug, with Nsuku congratulating everyone for making it this far. The time for comfort is over, and now, everything is on the line.
