Iris may have a long history with the Zungu’s but we’re seeing a different side to her lately, and we can’t help but stan! Not only did she come through for the family when the NPA wanted to confiscate Mkabayi’s taxi’s, she also took in Thokozani when she ran away from home.
It’s an open secret that Iris doesn’t quite get along with the Zungu wives and we were pleasantly surprised when she agreed to have Phumelele as her latest guest.
Here’s how Iris has won our hearts:
- When she helped Thokozani prepare for matric exams
Iris was in the forefront, helping Thokozani prepare for her matric exam last week. From making sure Thokozani keeps to her study schedule, to making her healthy snacks.
- When she allowed both Thokozani and Phumelele to stay
She extended her home to both mother and daughter to stay, after Phumelele suggested that she’d like to be involved in Thokozani’s preparations for her matric exam.
- When she invited Phumelele for a night out
Who would have thought Phumelele would consider going out with Iris, to the club even!? But Iris figured she needed a bit of fresh air, and what better way to prepare for the outing than a little shopping spree, the Iris way. Too bad Mkabayi and Siphokazi showed up and stopped them from leaving, after they demanded Thokozani leaves with them.
- When she stood up for Phumelele
Very few stand up to Mkabayi, and Iris is one of those few. Did you see how she stood up for Phumelele when Mkabayi and Siphokazi stormed her house, demanding to leave with Thokozani?
