Randall set the tone for what was to be one of this seasons memorable audition stops, with his motivational talk that wasn’t quite as inspiring as expected. And just like clockwork, the nerves kicked in and many contestants folded under pressure
@IdolsSA. U gotta love #Randall! Lol
— Gereldine Abrahams (@gereldineabrah1) July 19, 2015
hahahha. what did Randall say to the poor contestants?? @IdolsSA
— Tumediso Baikgaki (@tumishumba) July 19, 2015

But surely, there’s a method to the madness?
I like it when Randall Tells it like it is Simpy Because SunCity is Not Childs Play @IdolsSA #IdolsSA

After realising “the well had been poisoned”, Gareth took matters into his own hands and had a talk with the contestants - and just like magic, Cape Town was back in business.
Sam smith lookalike has a really nice voice though @IdolsSA #IdolsSA well deserved!

After meeting Cecil and Ethan, Randall suggested a smoking hot Idols duet, which didn’t work out quite as planned. Oh boy!
Oh no they didn't... Duet Ethan and Cecil jlhahahhahahhhhaaaaaahaha

Luckily, Anelisa was on hand with a smile and her refreshing rendition of Lira’s “Feel Good”. Gareth liked her look and so did Unathi. Does she possess the “chillibabaz” and “ratataaaa” Somizi is looking for?
Chilibabas...hahahahahahahahahaha gotta love Somizi shem . . @IdolsSA
— Nono Gcwabe (@NonoGcwabe) July 19, 2015

Nadia certainly was easy on the eye, but her nerves and lack of breathing almost did her in. Luckily, Unathi, Somizi and Gareth and took a gamble and decided give her the “B of the D” aka the Benefit of the Doubt. And just like that, the floodgates were opened. Will the tears dry by the time the bus gets to Sun City?
@IdolsSA somizi just said B of the D kwaaaaaa
— Fenzo (@WoOmAniZaR) July 19, 2015

— ..::: Menzi :::.. (@MrMenziN) July 19, 2015
Unathi showed off her projectile skills during Renay’s audition and proceeded to flood the Judges table with her breakfast. All Gareth and the internet could say, was a collective “Sies! We still love you Unathi”.
Unathi give us your comment not the weather report!!! Hehehehe! @IdolsSA @MNet

Another Idols hopeful that had Twitter buzzing was music teacher, Taryn.
@IdolsSA "I can keep up with Whitney Houston" Gareth says well I believe you because she's dead now. #IdolsSA on steroids

So it seems the Cape Town auditions inspired poetry…
The world's a stage
& men & women jesters. They have exits & golden tickets. Sorry Shakespeare. #IdolsSA @IdolsSA pic.twitter.com/gTaQvqwLJj

…And cured some ailments
Bad bout of flu has me in bed. If laughter does good like medicine I vote @IdolsSA the cure. Belly-aching laughter. Great show tonight
