From November 28th 2019, voting for the DStvMVCAs will now be available via FIVE official platforms meaning you have more options than ever before.
- Mobile Site – 100 votes
- Website – 100 votes
- DStv App (all DStv subscribers) – 100 votes
- SMS – 100 votes
- USSD – 100 votes
100 ADDITIONAL votes are exclusive to all DStv subscribers! This means that if you are a DStv subscriber you will have 500 votes to make sure your favourite takes home the prize on the night.
Voting on our website and mobile site is completely free, but first you’ll need to create an account and that’s ONLY if you haven't already. Registered voters, don’t need to re-register and if you’ve forgotten your password, follow the prompts to reset it. Voting via the DStv App is also free and if you’re already registered for voting on our site, all you need to do is log in to the app. Here are the complete details:
1. Registering on the website, mobile site and the DStv App
A guide to registering on the mzansimagic.tv/dstvmvca website (laptop and desktop users)
- You can register to vote on the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice website – mzansimagic.tv/dstvmvca
- Click on the VOTE menu item.
- Click on REGISTER and enter your Name, Surname, Year of Birth, Gender, Location, Cellphone Number in the international format e.g. +27731234567 and your Preferred password.
NB: Please make sure to pick something you’ll remember when voting opens!
- You will receive an OTP (One Time Pin) via SMS.
- Enter your OTP.
- Once registered, you will be able to vote.
- You do not have to register again if you have already voted on a previous DStvMVCA edition or any Mzansi voting production.
- Website votes are free.

- Get started by downloading the DStv app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Simply click here.
- Launch the DStv App.
- Next, log into the app by entering your email address or mobile number and your password.
- Once you’ve logged into the DStv app, you may vote for your favourite nominee by clicking on the “Vote” banner inside the app. This will load the DStvMVCA voting webpage.
- Click on REGISTER and enter your Name, Surname, Year of Birth, Gender, Location, Cellphone Number in the international format e.g. +27731234567 and your Preferred Password.

2. Voting on the website, mobile site, DStv App, USSD and SMS

- You may vote for your favourite nominee(s) via the mzansimagic.tv/dstvmvca website.

- Click on Sign in and enter your cell phone number in the international format e.g. +27731234567.
- Enter your chosen password.
- Select your favourite nominee(s).
- Enter your number of votes and cast your vote by clicking VOTE.
