How daring was Cyprian (68) when he took only his trusted uncle and went to introduce himself to Gugu’s (54) family? WHAT!? Guess that was his way of showing her how serious he was about her.

How they met:

The couple met at the bus stop. He was from work and in the company of a friend when they spotted Gugu, who had just missed the bus. Cyprian offered her a lift. “Two days later, we realized there was a connection between us. There was that spark between us every time our eyes met,” said Gugu.

Cyprian’s added, “Not even once did she say, “no” when I pursued  her. There was that spark between us and that’s how the relationship began.”

Cyprian was bold enough to take only his trusted uncle and went to introduce himself to Gugu’s family and told them of his intention. “I didn’t want any room for error,” he said. Elaborating, Gugu said her family was very happy, but had no idea Cyprian would be the one she’d marry. “My father liked him that very day, not knowing he was the one I would marry. He even said he wished to see the man who wanted to marry me,” she said.

Challenges:

Gugu fell in and had to have surgery at some point for heart-related complications. “This affected me a lot. Not having her near me made me realize that anything can happen,” said Cyprian.
