It took all that Morakile could muster to keep his mouth shut. But he had to. After walking in on Maru throttling his father he was the first to witness the end of Bonngoe’s life. He held his dying step father in his embrace towards the end and has the shirt to prove it. A shirt stained with Bonngoe’s blood was the evidence that Morakile needed to open a case against Maru.
Thanks to Maru’s quick thinking, Morakile found himself at the mercy of his step brother, fielding death threat after death threat, if he ever decided to run to the police.
Morakile better not die #GreedAndDesire— Phumiie (@missphumie12) April 21, 2016
Morakile is actually the good guy here but his weakness and wimpiness annoys me. #GreedandDesire— Emperor of Umlazi (@MaBlerh) April 20, 2016
But, deeply troubled and wracked with guilt and panic, Morakile drove to the police in a bid to clear his conscience.
Morakile deserves some jail time, snitch! #GreedAndDesire— ...Pepper. (@Long_Live_Lu) April 20, 2016
It should’ve been straightforward. It certainly should’ve been the right thing to do. But this was a world in which a neat sum of money could buy a rich man anything, even handy pass from the law. Not only were the cops on Maru’s payroll, but so was the government.
So manje this ones are jutaring Maru to kill Morakile? Don't do it Maru. #GreedAndDesire— Fleekiswa (@NanaisTHEname) April 20, 2016
Morakile’s convictions to do right were met with paralysing disdain, an uppercut and a punch in the face. Shoved about with little recourse, Morakile has to find a way out of this mess and with Maru’s cronies secretly dragging him to his own sad ending, the guy was running out of time. Can Nqobile help?
