Love is great. It’s precious like the moon and the stars and the mountains and the hills. But it doesn’t put food on the table nor clothes on backs. It’s priceless but often it comes at a cost and at this point Mapule wishes it was a lot more concrete. And who can blame her really?

Tokelo isn’t exactly the richest guy around. Especially when you start comparing him to Msomi. With very little prospects he has less and less to offer the relationship in the way of financial security. Add petty crime to the mix and he became more of a cross for Mapule to bear than anything else. This was the beginning of the end.

Enter Msomi with perfect timing. Kenny is a hotshot detective with a penchant for the corrupt and lawless, ironically enough. He can offer Mapule a cushy life on a silver platter. He’s also a charmer. But, to be fair, a troubled history between Mapule and Tokelo makes it even harder for him to flirt with her, let alone try and win her back. Sadly her guard is raised to the sky when it comes to Tokelo.

So Msomi seems a catch. Because he has what Tokelo doesn’t. But what about what he doesn’t have that Tokelo does? Will he love her unconditionally as Tokelo’s done? Will he always be this charming?
