What Mpiyakhe’s freedom would mean to his family, employees and rivals.

Everything is set. Blade, Fezile, Kgokong, Sibongile and everybody involved, have all played thier part. Mpiyakhe’s acquittal is now riding on the master plan.

The Zungu drivers were the last to join the #FreeMpiyakhe movement, as they arrived in taxis and staged a mini protest just outside the courtroom premises.

Here’s what Mpiyakhe's freedom would mean:

1. The Zungu's: They'd work on getting the family back on their feet

Truth is, the Zungu family has been going through the most with Mpiyakhe in jail. For starters, they lost their main source of livelihood, the taxis. Furthermore, his wife, Phumelele is estranged from the family. His case being acquitted would mean the Zungu’s get the head of the family back, and they’d hopefully work together to get the family back to where it was before in all aspects.

2. The Zungu drivers: They say goodbye to their interim boss, Iris

You see, Mpiyakhe’s freedom means everything returns to “normal” on the business front and by “normal” we mean all the Zungu taxis would return to Mpiyakhe and Mkabayi and the drivers would no longer have to report to Iris. This would definitely be great news for S’khaleni and the other Zungu drivers, LOL!

3. The Ngwenya family: The war with Mpiyakhe continues

It’s no secret, Mpiyakhe has made a lot of enemies over the years. Judas Ngwenya is one of them and he’d like nothing more than see Mpiyakhe rot in jail. With Qaphela caught in the middle of all of this right now, freedom could mean the war between the two families continues.

Qaphela has a huge part to play in court with his testimony. Will he testify in Mpiyakhe’s favour?

Stay tuned to #Isibaya every Mon-Fri at 20:30 to see how things play out in the court case.
