Day 58: The top 7 salivate at the chunkuras – BBMzansi

Shocked faces

The season of twists keeps on giving and last night's fate brought another shocker for the housemates and fans to digest as the doors shut on Liema's journey. Her eviction came with a hefty price tag of R250 000 that she collected from the Fate Room after last night's nominations. The sight of the cheque sent the housemates into a frenzy when they realised that Liema's eviction is a win in its own right.

Watch Liema's Fate Room destiny:

Makhekhe could not stop commending Liema on the choice she made, even after her eviction. He exclaimed that her choice was wise, and even went as far as volunteering himself in her place just so he could walk off with the quarter of a million rand.

The consensus among the rest of the housemates was the same, and they each expressed a desire for that cheque. In a chat with McJunior, Sinaye revealed that if he were to leave, he'd like for it to be like she did. "Everybody wants to leave like that," said McJunior, before reflecting deeply on how he feels. He and Liema had developed a connection in recent days, so it was only natural that her absence would leave a void within him, one that he never expected to feel.

While the housemates reflected on another Fate Room shock, HoH PapaGhost was anxious about the pending wager presentation. Last week's wager was lost under his leadership, so it appears that he has placed added pressure on himself to right his wrongs and deliver a victory for the top 7 this week. Mpumi, however, was around to alleviate some of that pressure by telling him to worry about preparations at a later stage and be present in his key Head of House win.

The two later had their own moment to process the night's surprising twist. Mpumi told PapaGhost that she carried no animosity towards Liema and that she is pleased with the circumstances around her exit. Mpumi was then left alone to finish off the evening's chores, and she used that time alone to finish off her thoughts aloud. In her solo chats, Mpumi revealed that she is proud that she and Liema were able to cultivate a connection and did not allow a boy (Jareed) to come between them.

Money is weighing heavily on the minds of the top 7, and if their reactions to R250k are anything to go by, the grand prize will be all too sweet for the one eventual winner.
