Loneliness and quiet crept into the Big Brother Mzansi house and made itself comfortable. This came after the Live Eviction Show which marked the end of Young Pappi's journey in the house. His eviction meant that the widows and windowers' club expanded with the addition of Zee, who lost her companion. Before being left to simmer in her new reality, Young Pappi's parting words to her came in the form of a dagger that was delivered with "love". PapaGhost, too, received a dagger that was wrapped in a bow when Lerato Modise threw one at him as her birthday gift to the "homie".

PapaGhost, who initially became a Big Brother widower when Lerato Modise was evicted in a shocking twist, did not seem to handle the receipt of the dagger well. He speculated on what the gesture could mean. On the one end it could mean that she discovered something off-putting about him, and on the other hand it could mean that what they had was never that deep and he was a part of the moving parts in her game of chess. He went on to spend a great deal of the night pensive in the HoH room, then downstairs, and again in the garden, his mind racing as he tried to reconile what he felt with the events that had transpired.
Makhekhe, a fellow widower to PapaGhost, proposed an arrangement that would help Zee deal with her new widow status: the two of them being each other's comfort. Makhekhe jokingly made this move on Zee because he could relate to the "situation" that she is going through, even suggesting that they join beds for more space. Although an offer was laid on the table, the two did not spend the night together but rather basked in their loneliness in their own beds.
However it is not always sorrow and gloom for the better halves that are left behind after evictions. It seems solitude was never on the cards for joint widows Liema and Mpumi who joined the club after Jareed's eviction last week. The ladies, who had had the unconventional relationship, constantly assured each other of their admiration of the other, and as it turns out, of Jareed too. They were united in their curiosity of him as much as they were united by the stress brought by him too. Instead of sleeping off the shock of his eviction, they celebrated the removal of their major stressor.

Liema touched base with McJunior, and disturbed his moment of deep thought with her presence and 21 questions. McJunior let her in on the fact that the game is a lot realer now, and he is re-focusing and reducing distractions to the bare minimum.
The energy of the widow and widowers of the season, who spent the night nursing their loneliness in bed, was inescaple to Sinaye and Willy who followed suit and called it a night. The lights may have dimmed earlier than usual last night, but the new dawn is always prompt and it brings with it new challenges for the house of a top 8.
