Day 43: Bye, Nthabii – BBMzansi

Nthabii has been Evicted from the Big Brother House. Here's a short recap of her time on the show.
Nthabii talking to Lawrence after her Sunday Eviction.

During last night’s Live Eviction Show, Nthabii became the tenth Housemate to walk out of the Big Brother Mzansi House, which means that only half of the full complement of Housemates is left. Before the drama of tonight’s Head of House Games, we thought we’d take a moment to look back over Nthabii’s 35 days in the House.

She joined a week after most of the Housemates, entering on Day 7 with Vyno. She quickly made a name for herself with her upbeat personality and temperament, although she was regularly on Nomination lists – surviving almost all of them.

As the Housemates started to coalesce into something resembling alliances, Nthabii found herself growing closer to Mphowabadimo, who was otherwise entirely isolated from the rest of the House, her budding relationship with Libo having turned into bitterness. Far from simply being a strategic partnership, Nthabii and Mpho seemed to be real friends, finding common ground as the two Housemates against the world.

Unfortunately, Mpho now finds herself more isolated than ever, and Nthabii’s departure visibly affected her.

Mpho was not the only one upset by Nthabii’s Eviction – plenty of fans took to social media to express their regret at her departure:

There you have it – 10 Housemates have left, 10 remain. Over the next four weeks, that number is going to come down to one. It’s anybody’s guess who that one will be.

Big Brother Mzansi season 3 is broadcast live 24/7 on DStv Channel 198. There is a daily highlight show on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161), Tuesdays to Fridays starting 25 January 2022 at 22.30. Sunday Eviction Shows begin on 30 January at 18:00 and will be broadcast on Mzansi Magic.

This season will also see the return of fan favourite Shower Hour (22:00, Mondays to Thursdays on channel 161), Saturday Night Parties with Channel O and Friday night games.
