Day 4 hits a ballpark – Idols SA

The real work has begun, and the drama is just getting started.
Three Idols SA judges

We've all eagerly awaited this moment, the end of auditions, and none other than Nandi closed it out with banging vocals and an impressive CV. It's no surprise that every Idols SA hopeful is bringing their A-game this season – it's all about turning up the heat.

As expected, we scored a few hilarious moments with the likes of Vandamme and Young Killa. Although their intentions were in the right place, talent was lacking, earning them a spot as Wooden Mic contenders.

However, Skaqakaqa deserves special mention - from making the judges dread their jobs to speaking fluent Somizi, he was an absolute delight. Thankfully, he left us with a few pearls of wisdom on lowering expectations. For now we will be keeping our hopes up as we gear up for Theatre Week. In the meantime, we think there's enough hope to share especially with our Wooden Mic contenders. If you haven't already, head over to the Wooden Mic tab here and pick your favourite.

We’re all so thrilled for the Golden Ticket winners but the real work begins now. Yes, Theatre Week has already kicked off and if you missed it, we got you. Simply click here to catch up on all the tea for the day.  Like you, we’re excited about the end of the auditions and the beginning of the real magic. It all comes down to how these Golden Ticket winners will prove themselves as the pressure builds.

Idols SA season 18 airs on Mzansi Magic at 17:30 on Sundays. Follow the action on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram using #IdolsSA.
