Cynthia (47) dreamt of wearing a white wedding gown and walking down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams since she was a little girl, and tonight she and her husband of 20 years, Tebogo celebrate their wedding anniversary in style.  

How they met:

The couple met way back in 1993. Tebogo had always had his eye on her but couldn’t get a chance to speak to her. then one day, opportunity availed itself when Cynthia’s mother went away on trip out of town.

Tebogo admitted he poured out his heart that day, saying he’d be the happiest person if she agreed to date him. But Cynthia opted to take her time and get to know him a lot better. One could see how excited Tebogo was that day, as he did a little air punch, LOL!  

“I knew she was the right one because of the similar background. Her beauty was another reason I was attracted,” he added.

Challenges:

They both have a calling. Cynthia has an ancestral calling. Tebogo is a pastor. Cynthia explained how she sometimes has to clap hands to appease the ancestors, adding that when you have this type of calling, you have to worship in a church that claps hands so the spirit calms down. “If it’s not done that way, one has aches and pains and can get very sick. It’s been a tough journey, but we’ve managed to overcome it,” she said.

Cynthia’s daughter, Rebaone added that her parents have a best friend relationship, and that’s what got them through tough times.
