Clash of the Choirs began with an astronomical bang, and already battle lines have been drawn and people have comfortably picked sides. Gauteng choirmaster Kelly Khumalo and Limpopo choirmaster Penny Penny went on an intense search for only the best voices, purposing to form a choir that had the winning goods.

Kelly made her criteria clear, only singers that were better than her would do, and they had to sound like gold. Her supporters quickly identified themselves, and #TeamKelly was formed.

Penny Penny took on his shoulders the pride of his home province Limpopo, and determined to make it stiff competition, went on a search for diamonds. He wasn't easily impressed either, uttering the word "No" too many times to count. His choir ultimately formed too, and with that, #TeamPapaPenny

Gauteng and Limpopo have rounded up the troops, and on Sunday it will be Free State, Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape's turn. Three more commanders-in-chief will put their warpaint on and choose their best soldiers. With that, #TeamBucie, #TeamJR and #TeamSfiso will also be birthed, and the nation will prepare itself for the biggest clash ever!
