Clash of the Choirs: Coast to Coast

News
26 January 2016
On Sunday, we saw the final two choirmasters take to the streets of their provinces to scout for glorious voices to join their choir. Armed with ten fast forward cards each, Busiswa, leading KZN, and iFani, steering the Western Cape's ship went on the ultimate search.

Busiswa got derailed and delayed by bumper to bumper traffic, and with daylight hours fading and ten fast forward cards to give out, she got worried.

It was a rainy day in Cape Town, but iFani was all kinds of sunny and optimistic, and the positive vibes he sent out came back to reward him when he stopped a beautiful lady, hoping she could sing. As fate would have it, she could, and his first fast forward card was given out.

Busiswa got a late start and struggled to find a voice to blow him away, until she struck it lucky at a taxi rank when she met Bonginkosi, whose pipes blew her away, and her fast forward card was given out.

iFani was led to yet another beautiful lady, whose nerves initially go the better of her and she struggled to let her voice be heard. However, when she fianlly managed to belt out an iFani song, it was impressive enough to land her a fast forward card.

With more street auditions and fast forward cards given out, the two choirmasters were geared up and ready to meet the thousands of hopefuls who wanted a chance to represent their province at the clashes in Johannesburg.

They saw and heard gems, they listened to a lot more duds, and Busiswa cried out for goosebumps but wasn't getting any, until fast forward recipient Nkosinathi came and gave all the goosies she'd been vcraving. After a gruelling day of auditions, both choirs were formed, deliberated over which charities they would be clashing for, and ended the day creating some sweet sounds together.

All seven choirs have now formed and are headed for Johannesburg to clash it out. Who are you rooting for?
