These simple, yet fun games will get the bridal party started.

So, your friend, relative or colleague etc. is getting married and you’ve been put in charge of organizing a bridal shower, but you have no idea where to begin. Well, here are a few games you might want to try:

Two truths and a lie:

This is a great game for everybody to get to know each other. Sort of like an ice-breaker.  Ask every guest to write down two truths about themselves and one lie. Then they read them aloud and the group tried to guess which one is not true.

Who said it:

Before the day of the bridal shower, ask the couple to answer a few of questions about how they met, what they think of their first date or any holidays they’ve taken, if they’ll want kids and how many etc. then, print the quotes out on a sheet of paper and ask guests to circle a name to attribute the quote to the person who said it. The person with the most correct answers wins!

Handbag raid:

Prepare a list of items commonly found in handbags, slowly working your way up to uncommon things. When you call out an item name, the first to pull that item out of the bag wins!

Paper bride:

Divide the guests into two teams. One member of each team has to be a model, while the others put together a wedding dress, using toilet paper. The model will have to strut her stuff and the bride will pick her favourite look.

Remember, it’s important to note that most of these little games have a “winner”, so it’s a good idea to have some chocolates, lollies or small gifts to give out to the winners of each game. You could also tally up points and have one overall winner prize. Good luck and have an awesome shower!
