A double elimination looms – Idols SA

After two weeks of epic performances at the live shows, the Idols SA Top 12 will be finding out their fate on the show.

Only 10 contestants will be left standing after Saturday’s Idols SA episode. Over the past couple of weeks, Mzansi voted tirelessly for their fave to save them from the looming threat of elimination. And when the voting closed on Wednesday at 22:00, the count began to determine which of the dreamers will be making it to the next round.

With a double elimination on the cards, Envic, Faith, Lungelo, Lungile, Neve, Niikiey, Nkosi, Princess, Sena, Sipho, Thabo, and Thando will be finding out if their Idols SA journey continues.

On the night, they will be expected to woo the viewers and impress the judges with fire performances. With all the tension from the menacing possibility of elimination, this task will be no walk in the part.

Fortunately for the contestants, they have had a full week’s worth of time and space to rehearse and refine their performance. And with weekly critiques from the judges, they also have a lot of feedback to work with.

Amongst some of the most prevalent comments from the judges during the first two live shows, the contestants were urged to come out of their shell and pounce on the stage more fiercely.

The two contestants with the least number of votes will be sent home. For them, Saturday will mark the end of their journey. While their dream of being crowned the popular show’s final winner may get squashed, their newfound fame awaits them in the world.  After all, some of the biggest names in the history of Idols SA come from all phases of the competition. The future is looking bright.

Further to the eliminations, viewers can look forward to another night of sizzling extravaganza. The judges Somizi, Thembi Seete and JR, will continue to showcase their jaw-dropping high fashion looks for judgement day. Not only that; Mosaiek Teatro will be spot to be for a beautiful musical experience where the contestants, determined to go for the bag.
