Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) has just confirmed the long awaited storyline and cast of its new drama, Doubt.

Yonda Thomas stars as groom Sanele, alongside Khanya Mkangisa who stars as his bride-to-be, Lindiwe. Added to this impressive cast is Amanda Quwe who’ll play Sanele’s mother, Grace, screen veteran Glen Gabela portrays the groom’s father Judge Jacob, Lucia Mthiyane is the bride’s mother Thembisile, with Nambitha Ben-Mazwi and Siyabonga Radebe as Sanele’s siblings. A welcome addition to the impressive ensemble is Siyabonga Shibe who takes on the role of headstrong Captain Dube.

The captivating storyline follows Lindiwe’s (the bride) personal struggle, when her husband is arrested at the altar for the murder of a stripper from his bachelor party. The show captures her journey to prove the innocence of the man she adores, despite spiraling suspicion against him.

Doubt Series Producer Nomusa Nzima, elaborated, “Doubt is a high stakes drama, with a storyline of many twists and turns, and everyone has a secret that they are hiding. I’m sure that the audience will enjoy the rollercoaster that Doubt will take them on. We have a strong cast with a mix of established and fresh talent.”

M-Net’s Local Entertainment Head of Drama, Reneilwe Sema commented on the channel’s decision to test out this fresh storyline, “Doubt is a drama with unbelievable story layers and intrigue. Viewers will appreciate the edgy and fast-paced plot which offers an alternative drama option to anything on their screens currently.”

So does our bride Lindiwe face a lifetime of bliss, or has she unknowingly fallen for a murderer? All will be revealed when Doubt premieres on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) on Monday, 11 April at 8PM.
