Last night we were introduced to another three choirmasters and their teams. Popular hip hop star and Motswako rapper-producer JR drew Mpumalanga, SA’s queen of house music Bucie Nqwiliso grabbed the Eastern Cape, while SAMA award winner and gospel superstar S’fiso Ngcwane will represent the Free State province.

Despite a renowned reputation from previous seasons, JR struggled to find on-the-road talent in the musical heartland of Mpumalanga, but was later inspired when he discovered an unpolished diamond in Barberton.

Bucie’s journey was slightly smoother in the Eastern Cape and S’fiso felt right at home in the Free State after a rigorous effort to put together his entourage of 18. The teams then came together to choose their respective charities with S’fiso’s crew choosing The Association of People with Disabilities, JR’s group went with SOS Children’s Village, and Team Bucie chose The Loaves and Fishes Network.

So, the competition has heated up with three more teams revealed and only two more to go, but only one choir will win the coveted R1 million – who will it be?
