Last week, our Idols took their performances to new heights thanks to elaborate production and spectacular choreo much to the delight of everyone watching. It's no wonder therefore that expectations will be runnig high when they hit the stage again. This time however, they'll need to command people's attention all alone yet deliver the same thrill-factor. Here are all the marks we think they'll need to hit to steal the show.

Living in the digital age has made this even easier because the most memorable performances of all time are a meer search away. From Whitney's stunning riffs to Beyonce's burlesque inspired routines, taking a closer look at diffrent performance styles is a great way to pick up on certain core attributes that make an entertainer unforgattable. As Michael Jackson put it:

Bare your soul
Perfecting your technique and performance style might be key parts of a great performance but people also want to FEEL when they listen to music. As such, it's important to dig deep and connect with not only the music but the audience as well. Ultimately, music is about communication and a good artist is always intentional about carrying across the message in the music. If you aren't really communicating anything, what exactly are you doing?

Have Fun
While there's no harm in pursuing excellence it's important to not forget that the theme of the night is LOVE. A key part of resonating with the audience is honouring how that emotion makes us all feel; light, carefree and invincible. As was once so eloquently stated by Maya Angelou, people tend to remember how you "make them feel" and not the nitty-gritty. Radiating positive energy nomatter the circumstances is therefore a must.
