One thing about the Married at First Sight Mzansi finale, South Ah was exclaiming multiple yohs a minute. 😲

After wrapping the show a few months prior, our favourite couples put on their Sunday best and sat down for the most anticipated debrief to dissect the season of Married at First Sight Mzansi.

The ever so gracious media personality and MC Relebogile Mabotja was host and she started things off on a hot and shaky note. Let’s break it down. 🤗

Nelisa and Themba

It was time to get an update on Themba and Nelisa’s current situation after his baby mama revealed he came on the show as a married man who was after the fame. Nelisa took it upon herself to clarify a few things: she forgives her man, they are resolving their lobola issues, and most importantly, they are still very much married.

She was met with a lot of criticism from the audience while Themba sat in silence. Our gone girl is staying true to what she believes and that is her marriage will flourish. 😍

Palesa and Tshepo

If a full-stop completes a sentence, you wouldn’t be reading any further because Tshepo was a man of few words during the finale. After their extreme recommitment session where they both agreed that their marriage is over, the tension between the two still lingered. Tshepo’s ex-girlfriend, Pearl, joined and co-signed Palesa’s experience with the man they once shared while he sat and refused to take accountability for any of it. Safe to say, they will not be working things out. 😩

Portia and Bongani

Portia’s vocal opinions throughout the show caught up with her. She did not shy away from saying Bongani was a looker, in her opinion.. Watching the season humbled Portia to the point of apologising to Bongani because he didn’t live up to her expectations. “Public humiliation deserves a public apology,” is what she led with when she started pouring her heart out.

Unfortunately, the damage was already done and they closed it off with a divorce announcement that shocked everyone because their body language said something different. 😥

Makoto and Nkululeko

Their amicable breakup was applauded at their recommitment session but these two went back to factory settings and got into it again. It was simple: they have remained broken up but used this opportunity to solidify why that was the best option for them.  They didn’t stop bickering which led to disrespect. Nkululeko brought receipts of Makoto’s cheating, and it went downhill from there. They both announced that they have new partners. 😁

This season was one for the books and we’re sure there’ll be more next season.
