This October, Mzansi Wethu (DStv channel 163) is rolling out a bold new slate of reality shows into the heart of Mzansi life. From inheritance battles and cultural clashes to medical miracles and relationship regrets, these stories are raw, relatable, and unapologetically South-A.

Viewers can expect gripping new titles and returning favourites that reflect the complexities of love, family, tradition, and survival with characters who are as unforgettable as the journeys they are on.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Small Claims Showdown - Brand New – 19:00 on Mondays from 27 October 

Small Claims Showdown will take viewers inside a dynamic mediation room where real people bring their unresolved small claims disputes. From unpaid debts, broken agreements, relationship fallouts and neighbourhood tensions.

Viewers can expect a humorous and emotionally charged reality show hosted by Alphi Mkhwanazi (Stina season 1 host).  He will also serve as the intake clerk and guide for each case.  Alongside him is professional legal mind, Advocate Petronella Nkosi who facilitates the resolution process, helping frustrated parties navigate conflicts involving unpaid debts, contractual issues, and more.

Every episode will have the Commissioner offering the final advice, legal insight and recommended resolution for the parties and they move forward with informed decisions and move forward with clarity and closure. 

Ngishade Wrong – returning season 3 – 19:00 on Tuesdays from 28 October

What if you married the wrong person? Ngishade Wrong returns with more jaw-dropping confessions and emotional journeys as couples confront the truth about their relationships. Hosted by legal eagle Thato Mahapa, this season promises more healing from heartbreak and unexpected reunions.

uDokotela Wethu – Brand new – 18:30 on Thursdays from 30 October

Follow Dr Thabang as she transforms lives by treating rare illnesses which can sometimes affect not just the patient’s physical appearance but also their self-esteem.  With compassion and cutting-edge care, she restores their dignity and delivers second chances. So, when hope fades, Udokotela Wethu steps in.

The Real City Makoti  – Brand New – Start date for this reality series has been moved to January 2026

The Real City Makoti #NewAgeWives, a brand-new reality show that follows four married women who live a vibrant life in the city while at the same time maintain a strong connection with their rural and traditional roots. These modern makotis are rewriting the rules, balancing city vibes with rural roots expect cultural clashes and family expectations.
