Mzansi’s favourite polygamic family, the Mselekus, are coming back to your screens with season 9 of Uthando neS’thembu, premiering on Wednesday 4 February at 20:00. Uthando neS’thembu will air twice a week (Wednesday and Thursday) on Mzansi Magic channel 161 on DStv.
The new season comes after the bombshell revelations from the show’s special, #Uncut: Uthando neS’thembu, which took viewers behind the scenes for some exclusive, never-before-seen footage. Season 9 kicks off with tensions running high, as the #Uncut episodes brought viewers closer to the breakdown that started coming into existence within the family, results of which have now become clear.
The wives, MaCele, MaYeni, MaNgwabe, and MaKhumalo continue to deal with their different challenges with some still not happy that Musa brought MaKhwela, also known as "Number 5", into the family. How is she dealing with this continuous rejection and how long can she hold on for?
Isithembu sikaMseleku, something that once represented togetherness and tradition, is looking like it is in serious jeopardy. Is Musa Mseleku able to keep it all together or are the seams of this union becoming undone?
Tune in for this anticipated season to see how the Mselekus continue to juggle it all while also trying to keep their health in check. It’s all happening on Mzansi Magic DStv channel 161, your home of local. Join the conversation on Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok.
