Life in the Big Brother Mzansi house took a wild turn as housemates faced Jungle Week, a week that stripped them of their usual comforts and luxuries. With the house transformed into a survival-style environment, Housemates are expected to adapt to the bare minimum and embrace life as if they were truly living in the wild.
In the spirit of survival, housemates shared the three items they cannot survive without – items they would take with them to the jungle. Their answers ranged from practical survival tools to everyday lifestyle essentials.
Didi kept it simple but modern, saying she would need her phone, a Wi-Fi router or network, and food to make it through the jungle.
For Ashay, survival meant being prepared and comfortable. He chose his glasses, water, and toiletries, adding that staying clean is a must for him.
Liema prioritised protection and comfort, revealing she would bring sunscreen, a jacket, and a water bottle. She joked that she applies sunscreen even when it’s cold or indoors and is always freezing, so the jacket is non-negotiable.
Mmeli took a more traditional survival approach, opting for clean water, a Swiss knife, and strong running shoes – items that would help him navigate and survive the wild.
The Don kept his list straightforward, choosing water, a smartphone, and food.
Not everyone was willing to entertain the jungle survival plan. Thandeka jokingly rejected the premise entirely, saying she would “choose death” because she needs more than three items and has no plans of going anywhere near a jungle.
Meanwhile, Bravo B stayed true to his stylish persona, saying he would bring chains, sunglasses, and hats, proving that even in the wild, the drip must remain intact.
As part of the week’s wager task, housemates had to present themselves as animals surviving in the jungle, explaining how their personalities and experiences in the house reflect the behaviour of their chosen animals.
While the housemates brought their jungle energy to the stage, Biggie ultimately felt the storytelling didn’t quite hit the mark. Despite their efforts, the presentation didn’t roar loud enough, and the housemates lost the wager, leaving them to face the jungle’s consequences.
