JR Bogopa has been an active member of the South African music scene since 2004 when – still in High School – he founded Motswako-Tainment, a music publishing company that still operates in partnership with Sony Music Publishing. Four years later, his debut album, The Main Event, started his career as a musician in his own right. His next four albums would be released under his own label, Feel Good Music, which has expanded to release music from a variety of other artists. JR has since branched out into producing and directing award shows and music festivals.

His expertise has found a new outlet in his role as Chief Advisory Officer at BMC where shares his expertise with assorted companies in diverse sectors. He also acts as Executive Producer for Feel Good Live Sessions, which promotes performances by talented musicians from around the world.

JR’s background as not only a musician and producer but an entrepreneur in the field promises to bring an added relevance to the Idols SA judging panel.
