The ladies' camp lost their wager in this week's presentation, leaving the men with a flawless victory.
The housemates experienced an unexpected twist this week as they were divided into two camps in preparation for the wager. The theme of the week is As'phel'moya. In preparation for a week that required discipline, the house was stripped of luxuries to help housemates maintain mental clarity and a competitive spirit.
The housemates were tasked to work within their gender camps to create a dynamic, effective exercise routine no shorter than 30 minutes long. Furthermore, they were required to track their daily progress in the outdoor fitness zone, as their data and personal journey of improvement form a vital component of the wager presentation.
The camp which showed collective improvements during their time was to be exempt from cooking for the next three days, and the camp with the least improvements would pick up that slack.
Drama before the wager
While the men progressed with their preparations, the ladies seemed to encounter a couple of hiccups, with tension rising among them. This was echoed by a couple of the men who, in their diary session, made it clear that the ladies were finding it difficult to co-exist with each other. The tension amongst the ladies eventually led to Ramona and Thandeka claiming they would not take part in the presentations.
The wager challenge
The presentations started with the ladies' camp showing off their routine without Ramona and Thandeka, followed by the men who were declared the eventual winners. The ladies, however, did not leave the arena without Biggie letting them know they would get punished for their inability to work together for their presentation.
Could the tension among the ladies be heightened by gender divisions, or will it continue long after? Time will tell, but one thing is very clear: new alliances are being formed, such as that between Ramona and Thandeka. How long will such alliances last? Only one way to find out.
