Tonight, 1 March, Ilano became the latest housemates to be evicted from the Big Brother Mzansi S6 Bazozwa house. She was the only one out of this week’s nine nominated housemates to leave the competition, which officially confirmed this season’s Top 10 who are: Ashay, Bravo B, Didi, King Wanda, Liema, Mmeli, Que, Thandeka, The Don, and Trixie.
Sunday live eviction show
Son of the Soil Smash Africa kicked off the live eviction show by reminding viewers about what is at stake for the Bazozwa housemates and the R2-million that the winner stands to win! Smash congratulated Ashay for his win, making him Week 7’s Head of House (HoH). He also called out King Wanda about being a gossip in the house … Liema about the letter-writing, and The Don about saying he hated Que, which he corrected saying he does not, insisting, “I hate no one in the house!”.
Ilano was asked if she felt seen and appreciated by the housemates since she does all the glam for the housemates and their hair. She said she does, but the week’s letters did not have the ‘gratitude feel’ she was hoping for.
Ilano’s eviction left Que emotional as he watched her leave the Bazozwa house. When it was her turn to speak on the live stage, she kept it short, sweet, and true to her signature energy. Addressing her fans and supporters, she simply said: “Umgadlazo, baby!”
When Smash crossed back into the house, Que was a picture of pure sadness. He could hardly find the words to express how he felt about Ilano’s eviction. His teary‑eyed expression said everything loud and clear.

The week that was: HoH dreams and the wager
Week 7 in the Bazozwa house was filled with ambition, shade, and serious reality checks.
Liema let it be known that she wants that Head of House (HoH) crown. After coming close multiple times, she admitted that it stings to almost win and not secure the title. Ashay tried to calm her down, reminding her that HoH sometimes comes down to timing and luck. The big moment that the housemates were preparing for finally came and they delivered where it mattered most, securing a 100% win on their wager task. Their creativity and performance earned Biggie’s approval and what should have been full bragging rights.
But there was a plot twist! Biggie deducted 50% of the winnings because of unruly behaviour and repeated rule breaks, which included speaking in vernacular, sleeping in restricted areas and covering faces with hats and sunglasses. Celebration quickly turned into a serious house meeting. Ilano, Didi, Bravo B, and Que owned up to their habits and the mood shifted from vibes to accountability. The message was loud and clear: this is not a holiday, it’s a competition! The half-loss may have cost them points, but it forced the house into discipline mode.
Red telephone secret tasks
The red telephone sponsor tasks were giving chaos this week.
King Wanda was tasked with convincing the house they heard strange knocks. The house didn’t buy it. Mission failed. Gym clothes duty loading.
Didi received a mission to secretly hide housemates’ belongings, which activated some tension.
Thandeka first failed a pizza-sharing task (choosing the wrong number of housemates) but later redeemed herself by completing a silent-communication challenge successfully winning R500 in her Zakhaa Pay wallet.
Ilano was tasked with convincing housemates to participate in a fake health story to win R500 in her Zakhaa Pay wallet. Instead, onions were handed out, and it was all just confusion. Mission failed.
Mmeli was instructed to get the house to dance the Macarena. If successful, each participant would receive R700 in Zakhaa Pay. Despite Didi refusing, the mission succeeded and the reward was secured.
The red telephone has officially changed from just “free rewards” to “a high-stakes trap” … housemates now scatter when it rings!
Fallouts, fashion shade and boombox bombs
The house atmosphere has been quite thick this week. Thandeka and Liema’s fashion feud escalated after Liema claimed that Thandeka only has three outfits. Thandeka fired back, dragging Liema’s oversized fur jackets and questioning her fashion identity. Bravo B and King Wanda’s tension deepened after a comment involving King Wanda’s child left him emotional and even though Bravo B apologised, his sincerity was questioned.
Liema also found herself under fire accused of stealing a banana by Mmeli … stirring drama during the Roberson’s Spice Challenge arena task. Then came the Boombox bombshell, calling out housemates for “acting” and hinting that Liema’s strategy has already been clocked. Panic spread through the house as fingers pointed everywhere, because when Biggie shows receipts, nobody is safe.
Another calm Saturday night
After the Saturday night party, where DJ Thakzin was throwing down, emotions seemed to have softened. Didi and Que unpacked their failed situationship with Que saying that they could have been perfect together. Didi admitted that she is still healing from her past and needs time. It was all mature, calm, and surprisingly drama-free for the second week in a row.
Meanwhile, Thandeka reflected on her relationships in the house, claiming that her only real conflict has been with Didi and that others wouldn’t openly admit if they had issues with her. Even amid chaos, there were moments of clarity.
This week proved one thing: the housemates are no longer playing casually. Between the wager win being cut in half, successful and failed Zakhaa Pay red telephone missions and public perception dominating conversations, the game has officially entered serious mode. Every joke is analysed, every alliance is questioned and every task is now approached with heightened awareness.
