The Bazozwa jungle proved unforgiving this week as the housemates failed their latest wager task, leaving them without the reward they had hoped to secure.
Earlier in the week, Big Brother set the tone for the challenge, reminding housemates that the competition had entered its most intense phase.
For their wager, the housemates were tasked with telling a story set in the Big Brother Mzansi jungle, reflecting their journey in the game. Their narrative needed to capture the dynamics of the house- alliances, strategic ‘hunts’, and the determination required to survive the competition.
Ashay was asked as HoH to confirm the percentage of their collective shopping allowance they had wagered on the performance, raising the stakes even higher.
Biggie explained that the verdict would be based on three key criteria:
- Unified storytelling and how well the group crafted a collaborative predator–prey narrative.
- Use of the jungle setting, costumes and body paint to embody their chosen animal personas.
- Vocal authenticity, including the natural integration of each animal’s mating or warning call.
While Biggie acknowledged the effort put into the visual transformation, praising them for becoming “rare and dangerously beautiful” animals, the storytelling itself fell short.
“For this week’s wager, the instruction from Big Brother was simple: tell a story. It baffles Big Brother that Housemates still need the crutch of pen and paper and reading to tell their own authentic story eight weeks into the game,” he said.
After losing the wager, the housemates prepared for the pool party, where Thandeka appeared overwhelmed as it continued.
Through tears, she confessed to Mmeli, that she wanted to go home and was exhausted from living with them (referring to the housemates), she remarked that the people in the house were “not sane, just manageable.”
Thandeka reassured Mmeli that she loves and cares for him, but said the environment in the house had become difficult for her to handle. She explained that it required too much effort and admitted that it irritates her when he interacts with ousemates she struggles to get along with. According to Thandeka, she would not speak to people who do not get along with him.
Mmeli apologised if he had made her feel unsupported. However, Thandeka insisted that she did not want to continue discussing the matter. Mmeli moved to share his perspective on the game, saying that he believes Bravo B could ultimately win the money because of how he is playing the game and how strongly he seems to want the prize.
He reminded Thandeka that she had often said she entered the competition for the experience and fun rather than the money, highlighting the different motivations housemates may have as the finale draws closer.

With the stakes rising and emotions running high, the Bazozwa jungle is proving tougher to survive with each passing week.
