Lebohang (32) knew Francis (42) was the man she had prayed hard for the day she came across his profile on that dating site in 2018.
You see, Francis comes from a Christian background and he had made it very clear on his profile that he wanted a God-fearing woman.
Lebohang said she had been skeptical of signing up on a dating site, but this time around she prayed really hard and asked for the type of man she wanted to marry. She admits chatting to two guys she met on the dating site, but she wasn’t quite interested.
“Francis invited her over one time and they got to know each other even better, and in January 2019, he asked her to move in her him.
How he proposed:
It was in September last year. She had just returned from work and a little bit tired, so she took a nap. He went in the bedroom and wrote on his laptop, “Will you marry me?” When Lebohang woke up, she saw the message and she said, “Yes!” He set the date for the wedding as a surprise.
Challenges:
Lebohang took R68 000 from their savings account and “invested” it it into a “get-rich-quick” scheme. The money was meant to buy a car. Francis was very disappointed, and it took a while for him to heal. Luckily, they managed to pull through.
