We use plates on a daily basis. Have you ever stopped to think what story your plate would tell if it could talk? Dr. Catherine invited the housewives to an event and asked them to bring a plate and tell the story behind it.
Here’s what they shared:
She brought a white plate which was one of the first things she bought when she first started out in life many years ago. ‘In life one must start somewhere’ and just like the plate which she has kept for a long time, friendships starts somewhere, and good friendships should last long.
In a surprise twist, Susan brought a blank plate to represent the clean slate she wanted to start with Minnie. She and Minnie have been fighting since the first episode and it was a welcome change for the housewives to see them making peace. Susan explained that she realised it's important not to put other women down but rather help them adjust their crowns.
She chose to draw an evil eye on her plate and urged all the ladies to always look out for one another and to protect each other. This was a timely message that complimented Susan’s message.
She brought plate with a colourful cheetah drawing on it. Lisa bought it at an art exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia when she visited there five years ago. What drew her to the plate was the fact that the cheetah was standing tall and is always alert. Lisa advised the ladies to be fearless like the cheetahs and to always protect themselves.
She chose to draw a semi colon on her plate and quoted Amy Bleuel, the founder of Project Semicolon to explain the meaning. ‘A semi colon is used when an author could have chosen to end their sentence but chose not to. My story is not over yet, it has just begun’.
She was late for the event and opted to wear a big plate on her head which left many housewives wondering if she understood the brief. She also didn’t have time to tell her story because she was later involved in a heated argument with Sonal. Watch the moment here:
