About the show:
Moyo revolves around Shekuwe, a fierce bulky real estate entrepreneur that is married to Momo, a vocal wife with a lot of secrets to hide in her closet. Their daughter Leila, an aspiring fashion designer is a brat, filled with unstoppable itchy attitude – probably a typical image of her mother. In order to close a land deal, a business decision comes with a price. Shukuwe must marry Asha – a humble bird who only says ‘YES!’ in order to end their family’s demise but instead ends up accommodating her father’s greediness. Momo’s rage is uncontrollable and she vows to give this new marriage, a living hell.

As the story begins, it becomes clear that Shekuwe and Momo have not done a good job with Leila. And while both parents are too busy to oversee her performance in both college and life, she ends up becoming a complete mess. There are moments when both parents try to put her grounded but she still ends up doing things behind their back – a typical teenage masterpiece. It is only Bitoto’s intervention that awakens the situation. And then there is that big question, what if Bitoto and Momo would have kept both their sons [Beka and Moddy] respectively, probably their lives would have been better?
But the worst thing is when the child has to pick sides, for their own selfish needs or when a father decides that his children are title deeds like what Sharifu did to Asha or make the other child feel inferior because they are not productive enough like Sultan.
Moyo premieres on 1 April at 7:30 pm only on DStv 158 and GOtv 4.
