When it comes to pursuing their dreams, the Kyallo girls are ambitious, fierce, and daring. When they were still young, their father lost his job in the military and had to leave the country to seek greener pastures. Gloria, the youngest was nearly two years old at that time. She grew up never knowing what it was like to be loved by a father
Their mother struggled to pay their school fees and meet their basic needs. Betty, the eldest sister, recalls eating pumpkin and tea for dinner, which is why she vowed to work her way out of poverty.
Betty’s passion for life and good things led her to a career as a broadcaster in the media industry. She worked as a news anchor for one of Kenya’s leading news organisations. She later resigned and co-founded a high-end salon with her then-friend, Susan. After some time, they had a fallout and she decided to go solo. She opened a salon and a barbershop. Her sister Mercy owns a luxury leather company, while Gloria is a philanthropist.
Despite their challenges, the Kyallo sisters continue to pursue and live their dreams. Catch them on Kyallo Kulture every Sunday at 7:30 pm only on Maisha Magic Plus DStv 163 and GOtv Supa CH 8 or on Showmax.
