Mercy and Eric were all set for their big day. For convenience, the bride and her party decided to stay at their friend's place in Thika. The morning of the wedding however the bride's in-laws felt it was best if Mercy from her mom's house. They had to compromise for the sake of the family and did just so. That hiccup did not dampen their spirit as they ended up having a perfect wedding.
How Eric and Mercy met
It started with a selfie that Mercy took with her friend who also happened to be Eric's friend. She posted the image on her profile and the moment Eric saw it, he loved what he saw.
He later embarked on a task to make his friend help him meet Mercy and luckily enough, he was fortunate to. They linked up then and later made it a habit to meet each other time and again when their schedules would allow and eventually begun dating.
Preparations for their wedding
For the rings, Eric went all out with three rings; a proposal, promise and wedding ring. For Eric, he went for a cushion ring and both wedding rings were engraved with their name and wedding date.
For his suit, Eric settled for a burgundy tuxedo, black trousers and shoes, a white shirt and black bowtie. The bride wore a beautiful ball gown with a long tail and it was accessorized with crystals.
Their 9-tier cake was decorated with real red roses. It was a combination of three flavours vanilla, blueberry and orange all sandwiched in one cake. It cost the couple KShs 50,000
Despite the hectic moment Mercy had in the morning, they finally said 'I do". They both prepared personalized vows that they read out to each other. Eric said in part.."As I have given you my hand to hold, I have given you my life to keep" while Mercy said "You will always have shelter in my arms and a home in my heart. Ndakuyanza".
We wish Mr. and Mrs. Nduva well.
