In celebration of Africa Day, 25 May, M-Net launches the first-ever AfroCinema pop-up channel that will showcase African films that received accolades at various film festivals. The channel will run from 21 to 30 May and will be available to DStv Access, Family, Compact, Compact Plus and Premium.
Africans are gifted storytellers and as a result, African movies have increasingly become popular on a global stage. So, it’s quite fitting that the pop-up channel will be a celebration of African stories, by Africans, for Africans and the world. It is also an opportunity for fans to immerse themselves in the emerging world of African film and to unite and celebrate authentic African stories.
