We introduce you to our guests this Saturday on #TheTurnUp: Linda and Bravoo!
Turnup Live-Guest- x2

Linda is an exotic girl group that is passionate about authentic, heartfelt music and their country Kenya. The name means protect or preserve in Swahili, 'soft' or 'tender' in German and 'beautiful' in Spanish and Portuguese. Linda was an idea birthed in 2015 where a series of auditions were held to find the best talent available. From the exercise, Rae and Beryl were discovered. The project would then stall for over one year due to unavoidable circumstances only to resume in November 2016 when the third member Alexis also joined to complete the group. The group has won the Best New Artist in Kenya 2017 award by Cafe Ngoma and we can't wait to see them o The Turn Up on Saturday, when they share their music with us!

Our second artist is Brian Otieno Mbowo (Bravoo), who was born in Nairobi and fell in love with dancehall music at an early age. While attending primary school, his musical talent was recognized and nurtured by one of his teachers. Having a natural gift for music, he would go on to represent his school at various music festival competitions on the regional and national level. Starting his musical journey in 2004, Bravoo was determined to make an impact as a reggae artist - his early jam sessions at club Florida2000 proved to be some of the most valuable time spent honing his skills and learning more about his chosen craft. For Bravoo, dancehall is no longer just music, it has become a life style, a way of living that represented his outlook on life and the type of vibe that motivates him!
