Muthoni Drummer Queen’s sound has been described as Afro-Electro: an edgy mix of loud African drums & rhythmic patterns with Hip-Hop, Rap, Electronic, Dance & RnB.

In 2013, Muthoni started to collaborate with Swiss producers GR! & Hook to produce the self-titled sophomore album “MDQ”. The album featured the hit singles “Nai ni Ya Who” and “This One” which won the best song in the urban category of the M4Music demo tape clinic in Switzerland in 2014.

In 2016, the band started to work on their new project - the new album is set for release in the beginning of 2018 and we can’t wait for it!

Dela begun singing at the age of 7 in choirs and eventually backing vocals and it was only until 2008 that she begun singing professionally. At the age of 19, her debut on the big stage was her collaboration with Kenya’s most famous boy band Sauti Sol, that saw her song MAMA PAPA make a record number one hit for 18 weeks on the radio.

The success of her single led her to be signed by record label PENYA and in under a year, Label Producer Wawero 'Wawesh' Kiboy had produced another hit Record titled PAUKWA. She has also toured Europe extensively under her Label with sold out concerts in London, Amsterdam, Stockholm and other cities in 2009.

When asked on her philosophy on life, 21 year old Dela says one thing: “There is a war in my heart, (one of her more popular songs) she desires for change!”

This is not the first time Timmy T Dat comes up on The Turn Up stage. He is a Kenyan rapper, known to be fashion conscious, especially because of his female fans. He recorded his first single "Blunder" in 2010 and a year later released a song with Rapdamu called "Nataka More". His carrer has taken a slow but steady path. Due to the fact that Capital/finances were scarce, he decided to work in other fields - in the Mtumba retail sector and as a garbage colector.

Make sure to catch The Turn Up every Satuday at 12pm on Maisha Magic East - DStv Channel 158 and GOtv Channel 4.
