Benson Wanjau joined the stellar cast of the iconic Kenyan Comedy VITIMBI in 1985.

He played the role of the overbearing, almost draconian patriach, Mzee Ojwang who run a small business with his best friend and life partner, Mama Kayai played by the beautiful and ever-youthful Mary Khavere.

Those who lived through this era can attest to the pure joy and laughter derived from watching an episode of Mzee Ojwang's antics on the Vitimbi show! His career spanned three decades until his untimely demise on July 12 2015.

Today, we remember this great man. May we strive to be as pure in our "Art" as he did. A toast! To our beloved Mzee Ojwang!
