Bwatele, which means “the dam of plenty”, is a beautiful agricultural town with a vast dam system and plenty of food. It mirrors that of any of the current counties in Kenya in that the residents have fought for democracy but remain socially divided.
In the first episode, the county of Bwatele comes to a standstill after their governor and her chief of staff are kidnapped by the Hive, a masked domestic terror group. They demand 4 billion Kenya shillings from the government, to be paid within three hours or the governor would be killed.
Against the backdrop of civil unrest and widespread discontent, a disgraced security officer is forced to save the governor. What will it take for him to save her?
