2020 was supposed to be a big year for Sauti Sol. They were supposed to have a world tour which unfortunately had to be cancelled -due to the current  pandemic.  As the partial lockdown came into place, the Sauti Sol members had no choice but to retreat to their homes. What do they get up to during this time?

In the kitchen in with Savara

Savara decided to revive his love for baking. In an interview - with him, Savara put his master baker skills to test by baking some muffins for his girlfriend, Yvonne.

The two met at an African music festival and Yvonne says Savara told her he was a stripper. That did not deter her from giving him his number even though he didn’t save it! When Savara realised that he found a clever way of getting her number again. He phoned her, they met and ended up being on lock down together. “Corona brought us together, hii corona ina mapositives” Savara said in the interview.

Healthy eating and fitness

Polycarp and his wife Amanda had adopted a vegan lifestyle long before the pandemic broke. They’ve taken it a step further by striving to boost their immune systems by eating healthy. They often share their tasty vegan meals on their social pages. Amanda, a fashion designer, met Polycarp 8 years ago and they are expecting a baby soon.

Additionally, Polycarp and his brother Tom conduct daily zoom fitness classes for the whole team to keep them fit and sane.

What about Bien and Chimano? How are they coping during the lockdown? Be sure to tune in to Sol Family on Sunday at 7:30 pm on DStv channel 163 to find out.
