The coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla is billed for this weekend (Saturday 6 May to be exact), and leaders from across Africa, including President William Ruto, are currently jetting into the United Kingdom to witness the festivities.

Avid royal-watchers from across East Africa will also be able to follow the live proceedings from start to finish from the comfort of their own homes, via a special coronation broadcast on BBC News (DStv Channel 400) and BBC Lifestyle (DStv Channel 174), where Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage and South Africa’s Pretty Yende are expected to perform.
