What is the best gift you can give your father?
“Love” is an answer most would give and likewise what most dads would want from their children.
However, most fathers would appreciate even more if we went step further to show it. One way we can do this is by spoiling them with gifts.
Who falls into the ‘father’ category? According to Wikipedia, Father’s Day is a day of honoring fatherhood as well as parental bonds and paternal bonds.” So we can use this day to spoil not only our biological fathers but the father figures, role models and heroes in our life.
Have you thought about what is the best gift to give your dad? Here are some suggestions:
- DIY gift set
If your dad enjoys fixing things around the house, gardening or even cooking you can get him a practical gift such as a BBQ set, a toolbox or a garden set.
- Cologne or accessories
Most fathers enjoy grooming themselves. To aid in this you can get him a gift set that has his favourite cologne, lotion, and a shower gel. For accessories, you can get him cuff links or a nice watch.
- Spa Day voucher
If your dad enjoys being fit, there’s nothing that says “I love you” more than spending the day relaxing at the spa. Rarely do fathers take time out for themselves so this gift is quite fitting to ensure they get some time out.
- A good book
Does your dad enjoy reading? Get him a good read from his favourite book store and include a special card with a loving message. If he is tech-savvy you can opt to buy him a kindle.
- Take him out for lunch
Another way you can appreciate your dad is by taking him out for breakfast or brunch. But with the current pandemic, you can opt to make him breakfast and serve him in bed and give him control of the remote.
