Three famous alien sightings.

While to the average person the idea of other or extra-terrestrial life may seem to defy logic, it would be quite shallow to think in the vast and largely undiscovered universe, the earth would be the ONLY planet with life.

Over the decades and even centuries, all over the world, there have been those who claim to have had encounters with these beings and Unidentified Flying Objects. Let’s have a look and some of these stories:

The USS Nimitz Encounter (2004)

In 2004, the USS Princeton, part of the USS Nimitz carrier strike group, noted an unknown craft on radar 100 miles off the coast of San Diego. For two weeks, they had been tracking objects that appeared at 80,000 feet and then plummeted to hover right above the Pacific Ocean.

On 14 November 2004, two FA-18F fighter jets from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz arrived in the area, and claim to have first seen what they thought to be churning water, with a shadow of an oval shape underneath the surface. Then, in a few moments, a white Tic Tac-shaped object appeared above the water. It had no clear markings to indicate an engine, wings or windows, and their infrared monitors didn't reveal any exhaust. Black Aces Commander David Fravor and Lt. Commander Jim Slaight of Strike Fighter Squadron 41 attempted to intercept the craft, but it sped off, reappearing on radar 60 miles away. According to their reports, it moved three times the speed of sound and more than twice the speed of the fighter jets.

Ariel School (1994)

In 1994, 60 children at Ariel School in Ruwa, Zimbabwe said they'd seen a 'UFO' and 'aliens, ‘men who looked a little Michael Jackson’ in bushland near their school playground. The story was reported around the world.

A BBC crew were among the first on the scene to speak to pupils and teachers. There were also reports of strange lights and a 'craft' in the sky in other parts of Zimbabwe, as well as in Zambia, Botswana and South Africa.

Levelland (1957)

Many times on Sci-Fi films and in pop culture we’ve seen the scene in which a passing UFO causes electronic equipment to malfunction and even affect the cars below. This, actually references a real-life event of an extra-terrestrial incident in Levelland, Texas on 5 November 1957. During this particular incident, car engines and lights cut out as bright lights and rockets passed overhead. Investigating police officers experienced the same phenomenon, only to have Project Blue Book explain everything away as ball lightning during an electrical storm. Strangely, there were no reports of either happening in that area at the time.
