Fuelled by a deep understanding of what it means to be homeless and how the situation can be remedied, Mesquita highlights that the barriers to re-entry into society can be impenetrable when, for example, one is unable to get a permit to trade without an address. In an extended interview, Mesquita says that if you give people who have been struggling for such a long period agency, they will trust you and will not disappoint you.
