Fuel is like liquid gold on the black market and from diesel skimming to hijacking petrol tankers and robbing petrol depots, Carte Blanche has exposed every modus operandi. Now, criminals target Transnet fuel pipelines buried at least two metres underground in a network that spans 3800km over five provinces. While it may be more labour-intensive for criminals, the rewards make it worth the effort.
