Amanda Faku

It is somewhat fitting that Amanda Faku (23) from Port Elizabeth performed John Legend’s “Ordinary People” for her Blind Audition for The Voice SA Season 2. Like so many “ordinary” people Amanda grew up singing, in her family’s home church and in school choirs, and she is now a part-time student at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, getting her qualification in accountancy – just like Lira did before she became a super star! But unlike most ordinary people Amanda took a chance and entered The Voice SA. After never having stepped foot on a big stage before, Amanda won herself a place on #TeamLira, and a shot at a not-so-ordinary future, after the quickest four-chair-turn by the coaches in Voice SA history!
