Fentshe Nkabinde (20), a music theory student, and Mapula Mahlo (24), a music teacher, make up the duo Aura. Both have been singing since childhood, and Mahlo was a backing vocalist for Dr. Tumi, the second ever local artist to fill up The Dome after Cassper Nyovest. Despite their long histories, they have rarely performed together, but a random Facebook video they posted went viral, garnering over 100,000 views, and that sealed the deal. “We've actually never entered a competition together,” they reveal. “We'd love to be a part of something that showcases our talent. We'll also be learning and growing from it.”
