“It doesn’t get more real than this,” Idols SA’s longest-serving judge Randall Abrahams notes as the Idols SA Season 11 audition tour reaches its final stop at Carnival City outside Johannesburg this week. “You wanna know if you can sing? We’ll give you a straight answer ...”
 
But is Jozi ready for a straight answer? Even gentle Somizi Mhlongo tells a contestant, “don’t ever sing again ...” in this dramatic final round of auditions, as the judges face a “fake-Idols” winner, a contestant whose day job is being an “eliminator”, a famous horseracing commentator, and a contestant that frightens Somizi.  
 
With 53 Golden Tickets already handed out across the rest of the country this season, will the City of Gold have what it takes to best the other provinces?

You will find out this Sunday [2 August] when Idols SA airs M-Net, channel 101 on DStv, or on Mzansi Magic, channel 161 on DStv, at 17:00. And as always all of the the auditions will once again be played on the Idols SA Extra channel, channel 199 on DStv, from the time the show's end credits roll.
 

Watch Idols on M-Net and Mzansi Magic on Sundays at 17:00. It will also be available on DStv Catch Up once the show has aired.
