South Africa was blown away by the level of talent on display Sunday evening, 30 August,ย when the Idols SA Season 11 Top 16 guys performed for the fansโ€™ votes for the first time at the State Theatre in Pretoria.
ย
This coming Sunday it will be the Top 16 Girlsโ€™ turn to wow the live audience at the State, and more importantly: the millions of fans watching the show at home on M-Net and Mzansi Magic.
ย
Like the guys did this weekend, the girls are competing for a coveted spot in the all-important Top 10, because there is so much at stake! This year the contestants each receive R10 000 cash just for making it through to the Top 10 and, in addition to the coveted title of South Africaโ€™s 11th Idol and a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment (South Africa), the ultimate winner will walk away R350 000 richer.
ย
Here are the 8 talented ladies who will compete at the State Theatre in Pretoria this Sunday, 6 September, for enough votes to make it through to the Top 10: (in performance order)
ย
Mmatema Moreni (23) from Limpopo, singing the Ella Henderson hit, โ€œGhostโ€.
ย
The youngest girl in the competition, 17-year-old Nina Terblanche from Nelspruit, with Blackbyrdโ€™s โ€œBetter In The Morningโ€.
ย
Last-minute replacement Amanda Antony (22) from Port Elizabeth, who will be singing Beyoncรฉโ€™s sexy anthem, โ€œDrunk In Loveโ€.
ย
Elwira Standili (22) from Worcester, with the Taylor Swift hit โ€œStyleโ€.
ย
18-year-old Bridgitt Leahy from Creighton in the Southern Drakensberg, singing Meghan Trainorโ€™s โ€œLips Are Movingโ€.
ย
Paarl beauty queen Nadia Herbst (20), performing โ€œLove Me Like You Doโ€, by Ellie Golding.

Vryburg singer Dineo Moseki (21) with Siaโ€™s โ€œChandelierโ€.
ย
And 25-year-old Shenay Oโ€™Brien from Johannesburg, closing the show with Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minajโ€™s mashup of โ€œBang Bangโ€.ย

Voting for the Top 16 girls will open at the start of Sundayโ€™s live show and will close Tuesday night, 8 September, at 22:00.
ย
The result of this voting period and the voting for the Top 16 guys will be announced in a spectacular live show on Sunday, 13 September.
ย
The four girls with the most votes and the four guys with the most votes will be safe. The four girls and four guys with the fewest votes will be up for elimination, and the Idols SA judging panel of Randall Abrahams, Somizi Mhlongo, Unathi Msengana, and Gareth Cliff will save one guy and one girl, to make up the Idols SA Season 11 Top 10.
ย
So get ready to vote for the Top 8 girls in Idols SA on M-Net, channel 101 on DStv, and Mzansi Magic, channel 161 on DStv, this Sunday, 3 September, at 17:00. Every vote counts!
